Welcome to Jaws Scripting 101. In this course, you will learn everything you need to know in order to assist you in using the Jaws scripting language to make the Jaws screenreader work better with many and varied applications.

Why Jaws Scripting?

This course is for those who wish to learn the Jaws scripting language, be it for their own use or for profit. There is a market for good Jaws scripters.  Jaws scripting is also a good skill to have for those cases where Jaws is not working with an application well, or where its usability could be enhanced.

Who Is the target audience?

This course assumes no knowledge of programming, though knowing how to customize Jaws without scripts will prove helpful. Having said that, however, a knowledge of programming will certainly help in understanding the presented concepts. The course will take the student from the very basics of the Jaws scripting language through to scripting an application.
